
Craig J. Lucas has been licensed to practice law in all
Nevada
state courts for over 20 years. He
is also licensed to practice in all Federal courts in
Nevada
as well as all
District of Columbia
courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Lucas held the positions of Chief of Legal
Services and Associate General Counsel for the State Industrial Insurance System
of Nevada (now known as Employer’s Insurance Group).
Before this he was a District Court Law Clerk for the Honorable Miriam Shearing,
now
retired Chief Justice of the Nevada Supreme Court.
Mr. Lucas received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Idaho College of
Law and a Bachelor of Science degree from
Weber State University
.
Prior to graduating from law school, he had been employed as a Congressional Intern
for the United States Senate in
Washington, DC
, as a legal Intern for the Idaho Prosecuting Attorneys Association, and as a Legislative
Intern for the Majority Leader of the Utah House of Representatives.
Mr. Lucas has served as the Workers Compensation attorney for the Channel 13 Ask
the Expert program. He is listed in
Who’s Who in American Law and is a member of the Nevada Trial Lawyers Association. In 1990 he was selected and trained
as a pupil in the Nevada American Inn of Court.
He is known for the personal attention he gives to his clients.
All cases are handled personally by Mr. Lucas himself, not by a paralegal
or associate attorney.
